Met-Ocean Data Acquisition

Ocean Scan Geo-Solutions Ltd has extensive experience in the design, deployment and analysis of meteorological and oceanographic data. We deploy and retrieve shallow (less than 20m depth) and offshore (greater than 20m depth to 600m) Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers and Wave Gauges. These gauges may be bottom mounted in mooring frames, mounted on sub-surface buoys or mounted on a surface expression (buoy). Data from these instruments can be transmitted to a shore-based data monitoring station via cellular modem (GPRS), acoustic network (acoustic modem) or satellite communication (INMARSAT or IRIDIUM Data).
Meteorological stations are deployed in the maritime and terrestrial regions as well, measuring the following parameters:

  • Air temperature
  • Atmospheric Pressure
  • Solar Radiation
  • Wind Speed
  • Wind Direction
  • Rainfall
  • Humidity
  • Sea temperature
  • Salinity
  • Conductivity
  • Pressure
  • Dissolved Oxygen
  • Turbidity
  • pH
  • Speed of Sound
  • Chlorophyll
